Booking Deposits Bookings are to be accompanied by a deposit of 30% of the total of the rental fee. This deposit and the signed booking form must be received within 7 business days of agreeing to rent the property. Final Payment You will receive a booking form reflecting your balance due. This balance must be paid no less than 4 weeks prior to the beginning of the rental period. If the balance is not received by the due date, we shall be entitled to cancel the booking and retain the deposit unless you have otherwise agreed to make your final payment in cash upon arrival (Please refer to the “Cancellations” clause.). For bookings made less than 8 weeks prior to the commencement of the rental, payment in full is required at the time of booking, and must be received within 7 business days of agreeing to rent the property unless you have otherwise agreed to pay in full upon arrival. Damage Deposit A refundable damage deposit is required for all of our properties and must be paid to the owner/key holder (U.S. dollars or Euros) upon arrival. You will be advised of this fee when booking your rental. The owner/key holder may refuse to consign the keys until the deposit has been paid considering this to be a breach of the contract. The damage deposit will be refunded directly to you by the key holder after the property has been inspected and any deductions for any damages that have been made. Method of Payment Payments may be made by wire transfer at the cost of €15 for each transaction or by credit card with Paypal where a 4% surcharge must be added for processing fees. Some agencies request a “booking fee” to cover these costs but we prefer to charge exactly what our bank charges us so clients do not incur extra charges.
Rental cancellations must be received in writing and will be effective on the date of receipt at Italian Riviera Villas.com. Should you have to cancel your rental, you will incur the following cancellation charges:
Failure to remit the balance of rental fees within 4 weeks prior to your departure will automatically constitute a cancellation, and Italian Time will retain the deposit. Traveler’s Insurance We strongly recommend that all of our guests purchase vacation insurance to protect themselves from unavoidable cancellation. Please inquire with your local travel agent or refer to www.insuremytrip.com for details.
The consumption of certain utilities may result in additional cost paid locally. Heating, which is metered, telephone and internet costs may be accessed upon departure and paid directly to the owner/ key holder.
Your Responsibility You are responsible for the care of the property and contents of your vacation rental. Any breakage or damage should be reported to Sarah Ferrari immediately. Unless you can prove that you are not responsible, you will have to pay for replacements or repairs. You must leave the property in good order and put away all kitchen utensils clean. Although final cleaning is normally charged seperately, guests are expected to leave the property clean and tidy and free of garbage and perishables or they may be charged extra cleaning fees. Occupation of the rental property is intended solely for vacation purposes and may not be used otherwise. The number of persons indicated on the voucher/contract must be strictly adhered to. The owner reserves the right to refuse entry or evict the entire party if the number of persons occupying a property exceeds the number stipulated in your contract.
Our Properties We make every effort to insure accurate descriptions of our properties. The villas and apartments we offer are privately owned by us and furnished to suit our tastes and the local standards and we have done our best to offer comfortable accomodations with as many extra amenities as possible. All properties must include the essential standards of a kitchen with a gas or electric cooking range, refrigerator, a sink with hot and cold running water, adequate dishes, cutlery, cooking utensils, and linens in sufficient quantities for the maximum number of guest stated to occupy the rental.
Arrivals We will supply the required arrival information regarding the rental property. Your damage deposit (U.S. dollars or Euros) will be required at the time of arrival. Arrival time is between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on the day of the commencement of you booking. Please advise if for any reason you are expecting to arrive outside this time frame. Departure time is before 10:00 a.m. on the day of your departure. This must be enforced to assure that the rentals can be properly prepared for the arriving guests. |
